What Legal Beagle is

Legal Beagle is a document-collection and intake-reconciliation tool for law firms and attorneys. It helps collect client documents through a portal, per-matter links, email, or SMS, tracks what's outstanding against a practice-area checklist, and drafts a practice-area summary document from what's been received.

What Legal Beagle is not

Legal Beagle does not file, submit, or e-sign anything with a court, government agency, or any other party, under any circumstance. Every draft it produces requires attorney review and signature before it means anything — filing remains entirely the attorney's responsibility, done through the tools they already file through (such as Best Case or CM/ECF). Nothing in this product should be understood as legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the operator of this product.

Attorney responsibility

A drafted summary is a starting point, not a finished, verified document. The attorney using this product is solely responsible for reviewing every drafted document against its source documents before relying on it, filing it, or presenting it to a client or a court. For practice areas without a computed accuracy guarantee (most checklist-only addons), the draft reflects what was submitted and matched — not a certification that it is complete or correct for a given filing.

Free trial

New firm accounts start on a 30-day free trial with every practice area activated automatically, and no credit card is required to start one. After the trial period ends, continued access requires [contacting us / a paid plan — to be finalized once billing is live]; your account and its data are not deleted solely because a trial has ended.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Legal Beagle only for legitimate legal-practice document collection and drafting, and not to use it to collect or process documents you don't have a legitimate basis to hold. You're responsible for your own account's security and for your clients' use of any portal or collection link you send them.

Limitation of liability

Legal Beagle is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [the operating entity] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the product, including any consequence of a drafted document that was filed, relied upon, or presented without the attorney review this product explicitly requires.

Termination

You may stop using Legal Beagle at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used for an unlawful purpose.
