Accessibility statement

Last updated: November 3, 2026

What this page is, honestly. This states our target and what's actually been verified so far — it is not a conformance claim. We have not commissioned a formal accessibility audit yet, and we're not going to say otherwise just to have a cleaner-sounding statement.

Our target

We're building toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the marketing site, the client collection portal, and the firm dashboard. That's a target we're actively working toward, not a certification we're claiming today.

What we've actually verified

As of this page's last-updated date, we've applied and checked the following on this marketing site specifically:

  • Every image is either given real alt text or explicitly marked decorative — never left unset.
  • Every page has exactly one page heading (<h1>) and a sensible heading order underneath it.
  • Status and category information is never conveyed by color alone — the reconciliation checklist's four states (Outstanding, Reviewed & excluded, Included, Not applicable) each pair a distinct icon with a text label, not just a color.
  • Text/background color contrast was checked against the actual brand color values, not assumed — we found and fixed one real failure this pass: our gold accent color read at 2.63:1 against white as text, well under the 4.5:1 WCAG AA minimum, so we introduced a darker "ink" variant for anywhere gold is used as text and kept the lighter tone for backgrounds and borders only.
  • A visible "skip to content" link is present for keyboard users.
  • lang is set correctly on every page.

What we have not yet done: a full manual pass with a screen reader (VoiceOver/NVDA), a complete keyboard-only walkthrough of every flow in the firm dashboard and client portal (not just the marketing pages above), and any formal third-party audit. We're not publishing those as done until they actually are.

When we'll do a formal audit

We're scheduling a real audit — a human accessibility review plus a full automated and manual pass across every screen, not just the marketing site — once the product's core screens have settled, and before any launch that carries real compliance stakes (for example, a customer with a Section 508 or EN 301 549 requirement). This page will be updated with the result once that happens, not before.

Report an issue

If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere in Legal Beagle — the marketing site, the client portal, or the firm dashboard — tell us. We treat these as real bugs, not feature requests. Contact us or email [email protected] with what you were trying to do, what happened, and what assistive technology (if any) you were using.
