Refund & cancellation policy

There is currently nothing to refund

Every Legal Beagle account starts on a 30-day free trial with every practice area activated automatically. We do not collect a credit card or charge any fee to start one. Because no payment is ever taken today, there is no charge to refund and no paid subscription to cancel.

When the trial ends

Your account and its data are not deleted solely because a trial period has ended. Continued access after the trial requires contacting us — we do not automatically charge a card on file, because none is collected.

Cancelling during the trial

You can stop using Legal Beagle at any time during the trial with nothing further required — there's no subscription running that needs to be cancelled. If you'd like your account and data deleted rather than left inactive, contact us.

What changes when paid billing launches

We're building real paid billing (tracked as an open item on our own roadmap). Once that ships, this page will be rewritten with real, specific refund and cancellation terms — how to cancel a paid plan, whether partial-period refunds are offered, and how a downgrade or cancellation affects your data. We are not going to invent those terms ahead of a real billing system existing to enforce them.
